By accessing or using Thinkle ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Thinkle is a writing and content management application that helps writers organize their projects, chapters, and characters. The Service includes features for writing, editing, tracking progress, and exporting content.
3. User Accounts
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account by signing in with Google. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
4. User Content
You retain all ownership rights to the content you create using the Service ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the necessary rights to your User Content
- Your User Content does not violate any third party's rights
- Your User Content complies with all applicable laws
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Upload malicious code or interfere with the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
6. Subscription Plans
The Service offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.
We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
7. Data Storage and Backups
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we recommend maintaining your own backups of important content. The Service provides export functionality to help you create local copies of your work.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by Thinkle and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, you may request an export of your User Content for a period of 30 days.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THINKLE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
